The end of a long week, but I'm feeling excited yet sorta dreadful towards the coming week cos it's gonna be packed, super busy and really draining.
Outlook for the week:
Monday - CED dry-run + CCL making of booklet
Tuesday - CCL Fieldtrip 1 + CCL dry run
Wednesday - CED presentation
Thursday - CCL Fieldtrip 2 (OURS!!!)
Friday - CCS Presentation (minor one)
I have to say this CCL module has by far been the most draining yet fun module!! I've had loads and loads of fun going to the central fire station for sooo many times because each time brings on a different experience and exposed me to many new things. Today was the best. Cos we got to see firemen swirling (or rather sliding) down the pole, got to go on that platform thing that extends rather high to fight high rise fires, learnt even more about firefighting equipment, their job scope etc... and of course, trying out the hose which had power jets of water that were hmmm rather hard to control. But it was all, fun, fun and MORE FUN!!! Aside from the jelly legs atop that platform thing... I left the place thinking that firefighters were soooo coool. But upon knowing their salary scale, I think the pay absolutely does not justify their hero-ism. Pics when the other 3 send them over : )
Aside from fire-fighting, ask me about the dart team, hazmat or paramedics and I'd be more than glad to share what I know. Teehee... I'm all SCDF-fied now but I'm still having jitters about the upcoming presentation. I mean we've been planning for ages and have done so many reckees but it just ain't quite enough. Hope the next visit will really up our morale!
In contrast to the upcoming week, the following week emcompasses only ONE fieldtrip. Wheeeee... I guess it'll be time to tidy up the CCL fieldwork plan and take a short breather. Absolutely can't wait!
Dad's back from Cambodia and he bought us really nice watches and Adidas tops. : ) : ) But sadly we won't get much of his cooking this time though as he's off to Thailand again next monday.
I'm gonna crash right into bed after this entry. Seems like a routine every night that I do some work after a long long day, surf the net for a short while, then dive into bed. The bed seriously, has never felt soo good.
For now, "paramedic" OUT.
