The end of a long week, but I'm feeling excited yet sorta dreadful towards the coming week cos it's gonna be packed, super busy and really draining.

Outlook for the week:

Monday - CED dry-run + CCL making of booklet
Tuesday - CCL Fieldtrip 1 + CCL dry run
Wednesday - CED presentation
Thursday - CCL Fieldtrip 2 (OURS!!!)
Friday - CCS Presentation (minor one)

I have to say this CCL module has by far been the most draining yet fun module!! I've had loads and loads of fun going to the central fire station for sooo many times because each time brings on a different experience and exposed me to many new things. Today was the best. Cos we got to see firemen swirling (or rather sliding) down the pole, got to go on that platform thing that extends rather high to fight high rise fires, learnt even more about firefighting equipment, their job scope etc... and of course, trying out the hose which had power jets of water that were hmmm rather hard to control. But it was all, fun, fun and MORE FUN!!! Aside from the jelly legs atop that platform thing... I left the place thinking that firefighters were soooo coool. But upon knowing their salary scale, I think the pay absolutely does not justify their hero-ism. Pics when the other 3 send them over : )

Aside from fire-fighting, ask me about the dart team, hazmat or paramedics and I'd be more than glad to share what I know. Teehee... I'm all SCDF-fied now but I'm still having jitters about the upcoming presentation. I mean we've been planning for ages and have done so many reckees but it just ain't quite enough. Hope the next visit will really up our morale!

In contrast to the upcoming week, the following week emcompasses only ONE fieldtrip. Wheeeee... I guess it'll be time to tidy up the CCL fieldwork plan and take a short breather. Absolutely can't wait!

Dad's back from Cambodia and he bought us really nice watches and Adidas tops. : ) : ) But sadly we won't get much of his cooking this time though as he's off to Thailand again next monday.

I'm gonna crash right into bed after this entry. Seems like a routine every night that I do some work after a long long day, surf the net for a short while, then dive into bed. The bed seriously, has never felt soo good.

For now, "paramedic" OUT.

My cousin has bought the wrong size for her recent online buys.. therefore I am helping her sell the stuff...

These 3 spagetthi tops come from Victoria's Secret. Size XS. I think it should fit a size S (Singapore size) because the XS is according to US size. The material is quite thick and really comfy, coupled with bra support inside therefore making this top perfect for yoga. Selling price is $15 per spagetthi. If you're interested do email me at angie.lim@gmail.com

My haircut....

Before we went in....

Voila! We emerged with new hairstyles! Aps had a totally different look and loads snipped off her head. I think it's a little too short now, but will grow out to be gorgeous by the time cny arrives. It's spunky! My hairdresser, named Dexter (sniggers), was such a pro. He painstakingly blew dry my hair to have those short little curls and shucks now he's got me thinking about getting a perm. But I think that's not priority for now... though i'd reaaally like to try curls out now that I know how I look!

And... this is what the back looked like : )

I'm pretty darn sure tmr by the time I wake up my hair will be in a total mess. I can't bear to chop the locks off though, I like messy hair! Just that mine fall flat all the time so this volumnised messy look was what I wanted exactly. But in no time it'll be flat again. Hair woes..

Painful news up next.

OW OW OW OW OW OW OW. By far, the most painful blister ever. And the blister didn't develop from my cheapo shoes, they came from the crocs. un.be.lie.va.ble.

2 more pics to add, taken from Aps : )

Carl's Junior

When you have Aps as photographer, there's always a sudden shot that catches u when you least expect it..

I'm going for a haircut today! *gasp* I think my last one was in september/october last year... the ends are all hay-like now. Hope it turns out nice : )

It's FRIDAY already?!?!

This week has been unbelievably hectic. With Tess in Singapore, I tried as much as I could to shorten my schedule to bring her out and I guess she enjoyed herself loads. I did too : ) And I hope you have a safe and enjoyable time in NZ!! Will be seeing her in a year's time I suppose, and maybe she'll be back with an ang moh bf hahaha...

We had the cheesy portrait thing done.. haha now everyone who goes to jurong point with me WILL BE FORCED TO GO INTO THAT PORTRAIT MACHINE. It's damn nice la!

The 2 absolutely cute to the MAX boys she came to sg with but it was such a pity I missed them, for the umpteenth time.

Crocs-fied again and yes those wrinkly feet belong to yours truly. I am guilty as charged. Sigh-aye... the worst part is, I wore them out on my reckee today and I returned home with a very very sore blister at the back of my foot. I was practically clenching my fist when it hit water as I bathed. Ouch!!!

Well in school news, one presentation down and 2 more to go. Reckee-ing has been great fun!! I loveee discovering new aspects of that place and i'm absolutely looking forward to conducting the fieldtrip. It's gonna be lotsa fun!! (I hope) Hahaha but whatever it is, we'll just suck it up and get through it!

I'm looking forward to this weekend. It's a day out with mic, aps and jason tmr, then a day of doing absolutely nothing on sunday. Yayyyyyy!!! I'm gonna take in every moment to fully recharge myself, and prepare myself for the upcoming horror week.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Looks like the perennial rains are back. The first thing that came to my mind was, oh dear Thompson is gonna flood again! Following that came oh darn I have to switch on the fan to dry the clothes.

Sometimes I wonder if it's a good thing to be at home. Because I have almost had it up to the pits with my mother. Yesterday was slightly insane. Right after school I scooted off to the supermart to pick up some items, came home and cooked for cher, yansy and jason... then hean came over, jason left, then i cooked for my own family, then jason came again, then it was yoga before i finally winded down to some quiet time. I didn't mind having to cook for everyone because I love cooking for people!! Though my list of recipes are seriously limited (I think I need to get a cookbook). But what drives me nuts is when my mother comes home and demands to know every single thing that I've done today. Why I haven't taken down the clothes and the normal list of things that 'I should have done'. So it makes me think, am I a daughter or a humble servant? I wanted to scream and tell her that I have had it with her. But I kept it in. I figured if I can stomach it in, I should. Because my mother isn't exactly one to reason with for when she blows up I probably will be living in misery for sometime.

Ok rant over. Just needed to get it out this morning. Because I had a feeling of resentment as I settled the laundry.

P.S Yansy, you must come stay at my house then, cos I will make u 325343 kgs heavier. hurhurhurhur!

Time to get ready for school again. The first week of school already feels like the final run towards the end of the semester! Haha anyway, go me! And go all of those plagued with work too!

A very late update.... but here it is!

We ushered in the New Year at Awana Genting (a place the cousins frequented when we were young due to grandpa's perks) and it was nostalgia at its max as I took Jason through some of the places like the cafe where we had lotsa banana splits, the swimming pool, mahjong place and best of all, the pony rides. So we joined in the dinner and dance that they had at the hotel and popped some bottles of wine and baileys to up the mood. The night progressed and the 4 of us sneaked out for some arcade fun.. and it was soooo funny. Then the hotel organised some 'couple' games and jason and i were sent up to be the Singapore couple (wthhh) but guess what! we emerged as 2nd prize winners! And won ourselves some swanky towels. Whee hee heeee...

Ok fine I shan't be delusional. There were only 3 teams (hurhurhur) and the towels we won were hand towels from the golf brand I forgot what. But! It was fun to come back to a cheering table followed by a mini yum seng. All in the name of fun!

Then we boogie-ed a little, and as apt as Uncle Tommy would have put it, the 'water' let out a bit of 'air' and we all tumbled out of the dance floor. Hurhurhur private joke here. KL folks will get the joke. The countdown came along and with the smashing of ice, WE WELCOMED 2007!!! I think this has gotta be the most smashing
new year as to date. With all the family and love, I couldn't have asked for more.

Jason and I then extended our stay in Genting for 2 more nights where we chilled out lots and had a super value meal, before heading back to Singapore. I have to strongly recommend KTV in Genting. Because its unbelievably cheap! 10rm for nasi lemak, keropok, a glass of coke and 2 hrs of ktv. Wooooot. It was undoubtedly, the super value meal of the trip.

Well, all in all it was a really smashing start to the new year, and I hope this year will really be, FANTASTIC!

So with one last worry-free weekday, we spent it running all sorts of errands. And I'm kinda bushed. Thus I shall leave you with the pics of the trip, ripped from Aps's blog cos she took all the pics.
